A Canadian actress accused of stalking Alec Baldwin sent him a string of emails begging him to marry her, police have said.
One email read, "Say I do to me." In another, she referred to him as her "husband," according to court papers.
Genevieve Sabourin was publicly charged with aggravated harassment and stalking on Monday, a day after her arrest in New York City.
Police said Sabourin, 40, gatecrashed a film screening Baldwin was hosting on 5 April and had to be thrown out by security guards.
A day later she sent another email to the actor saying, "I hope I did not ruin everything," according to court papers.
Sabourin's lawyer at the hearing was Julie Sender. She claimed her client and Baldwin had a two-year "mutual relationship".
The two met a decade ago on the set of The Adventures Of Pluto Nash, where Baldwin had a cameo and Sabourin was a publicist.
Baldwin recently became engaged to his 28-year-old girlfriend, Hilaria Thomas, a yoga instructor. He previously was married to actress Kim Basinger and they have a daughter, Ireland.
