According to a recent survey by the University of Worcester's Institute of Sport and Exercise Science, we believe our kids are getting far more exercise than they actually are.
Children are, statistically, not active for the bare 60 minute minimum required while we as parents think they are racking up around 271 minutes a day.
Add to this the growing levels of childhood obesity, the link between physical activity and chronic illness, and the government's recent announcement that kids need several hours of exercise a day, and you have a clear warning. It's time to slap on those trainers and get everyone exercising.
