This artist looks set to make a real splash with his amazing mushroom-like fountains made from WATER.
Using coloured water and pinpoint timing Jack Long captures the water suspended in mid-air in incredible coloured shapes.
Jack Long - who keeps his techniques used to create the water plumes a secret - creates what look like mushrooms from a fairy land using just diluted paint and water.
Jack, from Milwaukee, USA, said: "The challenge for this series was to produce two liquid towers at once within a reflecting pool and with a flowing liquid background.
"As much just to see if I could, as well as hopefully to create unique and engaging photographs.
"Once the technical aspects were solved, there were many days of colour and lighting experimentation.
"The colours of the forms are produced through the use of paints diluted in water with a variety of viscosities and textures.
"In some of the images the background itself is actually a flowing wall of water, that would ripple and at times even occasionally produce gaps.
"With a love of photography that goes back over 35 years and a passion for fluid photography, my goal is to create totally unique fluid formations unlike any other splash photographs.
"I am often asked how I create these fluid features. I have decided to decline to reveal my techniques.
"The fact that they are unique is part of what makes them personally fun and fascinating. Should others begin to replicate them, their uniqueness would become diminished."
Jack used a Canon IDS MkII and three primary lenses; The Canon 16-35 2.8, 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8.
