With mounting pressure on Hollywood power couple, Brangelina to marry - not least from their own kids - the news of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's engagement surprised precisely no-one.
BUT on hearing Ange had accepted Brad's proposal what we really wanted to do was inspect the ring - shape, colour, size - to see what Brad had pulled out of the bag (or the box).
Well, we weren't disappointed with what we saw (and we're guessing neither was Angelina) when she revealed the emerald-cut $250,000 engagement ring. The sparkler had came with an added personal touch: it was designed by Brad himself during a year-long collaboration with jeweller Robert Procop.

So, just like Duchess Kate's ring, it was only a matter of time until copies hit the shops.
Website QVC were the first outlet to drop a press release into our inbox trumpeting their silver sterling solitaire ring as an easy way to channel Angelina's bling into your own wardrobe. Obviously it's not identical - for one thing, jewellery designs are protected by the same copyright laws as everything else - but the octagon cut and thick band are in keeping with the spirit of the ring. There's also the bonus that QVC's version is on sale for only £26.50...
What do you think? Have QVC have got the Brangelina look down?
We weren't so sure so we did a bit of accessory investigation on our own and came up with another option - the emerald-cut simulated diamond trilogy ring from Tru Diamonds which comes in at £99.
