Keira Knightley has taken a step away from period dramas – for now at least – to get arrested alongside comic genius Steve Carell in upcoming comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.
So the end is nigh, or so the story goes. An asteroid is crashing towards earth and its inhabitants are understandably panicked.
After his wife leaves him, Dodge Peterson (Steve Carell) is looking for someone to play out his last days with and so embarks on a quest to find his high school sweetheart.
Long-term British neighbour (Keira Knightley) tags along for the ride and inadvertedly puts a spanner in the works.
Does this sound like a good film?
On the positive side, the film is directed by Lorene Scafaria and stars a nice dog to rival The Artist’s Uggie.
