A school teacher who married a 16 year-old pupil despite their massive age gap has been dumped after seven years together because she 'wanted to break free'.
According to a report in the Scottish Sun, Claire Forrester has walked out on husband John because their 28-year age-gap had become "too big a deal for her".
Music teacher John caused a scandal when he seduced Claire at Kincorth Academy in Aberdeen when he was 44 and she was 16. Ostracised by both their families, Claire quit school early and they married in 2010 and have two children together, aged six and four.
A friend of Claire's told the newspaper: "Claire told me the age gap just became too big for her to deal with.
"John was riddled with insecurities about their relationship and their future, and she'd had enough. She doesn't love him anymore. She says that she doesn't feel anything for him.
"She was fed up living John's life and wanted to break free. But he was furious.
"As far as she's concerned, he's the father of her kids, and that's it. He's not taking it very well."

According to the report, John at first refused to leave and launched a legal battle to stay with Claire and their two children, aged six and four.
But he finally gave up the battle earlier this month and now lives just yards away.
At the time they met, John was under supervision following an inquiry over allegations of another inappropriate relationship when Claire joined his class and his all-girl choir.
They started a relationship and he quit his £30,000-a-year post just before he was found out by bosses in 2005. He was charged under the Sexual Offences Act but was never prosecuted.
The General Teaching Council banned him from the classroom for life.
Claire, now 24, has not commented on the break-up and John only said on Twitter: "Just get to hell - all of you."
