Jose Mourinho has steered Real Madrid to their first La Liga title since 2008 after a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night.

Goals from Gonzalo Higuain, Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo sealed a seventh league title for Mourinho in his managerial career, and it is his fourth in a different country.

Having previously won back-to-back titles at FC Porto, Chelsea and Internazionale, he has now broken Barcelona's dominance in Spain to clinch Los Blancos's 32nd league title in their history.

Last season he helped Madrid to win the Copa del Rey - against Barca in the final - in his debut campaign after two trophyless terms for the club under Bernd Schuster and Manuel Pellegrini.
