Oxford Street Jubilee Celebration Applauds Behind-The-Scenes-Fashion Staff

The Oxford Street Diamond Jubilee celebrations have begun!

The famous shopping destination (plus Bond Street, Regent Street and Piccadilly) is now bedecked with 147 flags - a mixture of Union flags and ten special pennants dedicated to the street's flagship stores and featuring the back room workers who help keep the businesses running smoothly.

From the photo above, all the main elements of Britishness and Queen-ery were represented at the launch:

• Union flags

• Corgis

• Red buses

• Rain

All that's missing is a cup of tea (and you can add that yourself if you end up visiting central London during May).
