Now she's a globally recognised superstar it's virtually impossible for Adele to go about her business unnoticed but the Brit singer has found a novel way of avoiding unwanted attention - she goes out dressed in her pyjamas.
In an interview for America's NBC network, she said: "I've managed to stay out of the public eye recently. The other day I walked through Trafalgar Square. I was in my pyjamas. I had floral tracksuit bottoms on, a green coat and pink pumps.
"Luckily I had a massive umbrella so no one recognised me."
The Grammy winner also admitted that she's not interested in fame.
"I don’t want to be in people's faces," she said. "I just want to make music."
It's not the first time Adele has opened up about her struggle to deal with being recognised. She previously told 60 Minutes: "I always wanted to be a singer, but it’s not my cup of tea to have the whole world know you are."
