Man Charged Over Murdering Baby Appears In Court

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his seven-month-old son.

Nathan Pick, 37, was remanded into custody at Derby Magistrates' Court this morning.

The baby boy, from Waterford Drive, Chaddesden, Derbyshire, was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital on Tuesday.

He was transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he died late on Wednesday night, Derbyshire Police said.

Post-mortem tests are due to be carried out later today.

Pick will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.
