If we were asked who we thought held the most power in celeb land, a few names would spring to mind... Gaga, Oprah, Bieber. But none of these have taken pole position in this year's Forbe's Celebrity 100 List, which has been unveiled today - that honour goes to Jennifer Lopez.
Yep, J-Lo has shot up from last year's position of number 50 to become the world's most powerful celeb.
It's the first time the singer has topped the annual list, which determines a celeb's power using a spooky calculation that measures money and fame.
The American Idol judge came in top because of her earnings, press coverage and internet impact. Oprah Winfrey retained her No.2 position despite seeing her earnings plummet to a paltry $165million.
And proving that you don't have to be an old timer to rank highly, Justin Bieber is at No.3 thanks to his blanket press coverage and his investments in tech savvy companies, including a sizeable chunk of Spotify. Who knew?
Pop gals Rihanna and Lady Gaga make up the rest of the top 5, closely followed by Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry. The remainder of the female-heavy Top 10 is filled by Hollywood royalty Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg.
And despite the list being dominated by US stars our very own Adele makes her debut at no.24.
The earnings power of The Celebrity 100 dropped slightly in 2012, with this year’s stars having earned a collective $4.4 billion during the past year, down from $4.5 billion in 2011.
What economic crisis?
