England have beaten the West Indies by nine wickets at Trent Bridge to win the Investec Test series.
Jonathan Trott hit the winning runs after tea, as Andrew Strauss' side chased down the 108-run target before the close of play with ease.
Marlon Samuels scored a counter-attacking 76 not out but was poorly supported in a bid to pose a testing score for the Winidies' opponents to usurp.
After reducing the tourists to 61 for six on Sunday night, England were looking to end things quickly on day four at Trent Bridge but again found first-innings centurion Samuels hard to dislodge as he coaxed his side to 165 all out.
Tim Bresnan and James Anderson both finished with four wickets in the innings for England, with six lbws between them.
The West Indies nudged their total along as Sammy punched Bresnan to the extra-cover ropes and Samuels turned Anderson to long-leg for the fourth boundary of his innings. Stuart Broad replaced Bresnan at the Radcliffe Road End but the seventh-wicket pair continued scoring busily to last the first hour unscathed.
Samuels was putting away the bad balls with ease and hit another sumptuous extra-cover drive to bring up his side's 100. At drinks the lead had crept along to 52 but Bresnan made the breakthrough three balls after play resumed.
He won an lbw verdict against Sammy, who was well back in his crease, with the Windies skipper losing his side's last review in an attempt to reverse the decision. It was Bresnan's fourth wicket of the innings, all leg before.
New man Kemar Roach had a lively start to his innings, taking three boundaries in four balls off Broad - two authentic attacking strokes either side of a miscued hook off the glove.
Samuels sprayed Anderson past point for four and then aimed a huge drive. The ball went towards Andrew Strauss but his full-length dive left him just short and the ball disappeared for four more. Samuels brought up his half-century in 130 balls, but Roach departed when Anderson claimed England's sixth lbw - DRS reversing an initial not-out verdict.
At lunch the tourists were 83 in front and Samuels scored seven more after the break before losing Shane Shillingford to the spin of Graeme Swann - who did not bowl in the morning session. Shillingford, held at slip by Anderson, did not trouble the scorers and with Ravi Rampaul in at number 11, Samuels attempted to farm the strike.
Realising time was running out, Samuels smashed 16 runs off one Swann over, including two mighty sixes to take him to 76. He had no chance to make more, though, Anderson having Rampaul caught at third slip for a duck.
Strauss was the sole wicket to tumble in the second innings, as he drove straight through extra cover where he was caught by Dwayne Bravo off Samuels, five runs short of his half-century.
