Bridget Praytor had tried every fad diet under the sun - from only eating grapefruit to boxes of “magic pills” that promised she'd 'Lose 10 Pounds in a Week'.
Yet, according to the author, who has just published her first diet book The Hot Tub Diet - it took a car crash to change her habits.
After being rear-ended by a driver who hadn’t noticed the light had turned red, Bridget was devastated to learn that she wouldn’t be able to exercise strenuously for months.
No more two-hour gym sessions slogging it out on the treadmill. The only thing she could even do at the gym was sit in the hot tub, according to a statement.
And that's where she began to lose weight...
As she sat and listen to men and women call themselves 'saggy', pinch invisible fat and moan about their bodies, Bridget realised that she needed to change her mindset. And as she actively changed the way she talked and thought about her body, weight, goals, and the meaning of “healthy,” her body changed, too.
The pounds melted away, she says.
According to a statement, The Hot Tub Diet is a book for anyone who is tired of diets that don’t work, punishing exercises, buying shoes because only accessories 'look cute' on you, and feeling bad about yourself.
It's for anyone who is ready to change their mindset.
