Bentley is now taking orders for the fastest production car the marque has produced, the Continental GT Speed coupe, which boasts a top speed of 205 mph.
Customers interested in ordering one of these flagship luxury cars can get a closer look at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month when three notable names from the world of mptorsport - Derek Bell, Juha Kankunnen and and Guy Smith - will be putting the 616bhp monster through its paces.
Bentley have not released the price for the new Continental but a £124,000 or thereabouts price tag for the GT Coupe will give an indication of the minimum that you can expect to stump up.
And what will you get for your money? A car that will appeal to "driving enthusiasts who place a high value on outright performance, agile handling, distinctive design and sporting luxury", according to Bentley.
At the heart of the new Continental GT Speed is an up-rated version of the unique Bentley 6-litre, 48-valve, four-cam, twin turbocharged W12 engine. For the new model, the Bentley W12 develops 625 PS (616 bhp/460 kW) at 6000 rev/min and 800 Nm of torque while the 0-60 mph sprint is claimed to be a more than impressive 4.0 seconds.
Commenting on the new car, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive said: "For nearly a decade, the Bentley Continental GT has defined high luxury, high performance grand touring and the unique W12 engine has been so successful that Bentley is now the world's largest producer of 12-cylinder engines.
"The new GT Speed with its harder-edged, sportier character reaffirms this pinnacle positioning and continues to broaden the worldwide appeal of the Continental coupe."
