This just in: The Daily Show With Jon Stewart is coming back to British TV screens.
Yes, after years of being unable to watch the show/watch it for a while/not watch it again, British fans of Jon Stewart and his team can now enjoy the privileges offered to our American cousins and actually see the show properly, consistently and in full.
Its new home is Comedy Central UK - which makes sense, as Comedy Central is its American home - and it will air weeknights at 10.30pm from Monday 23 July. (Comedy Central UK being on Sky 128 and Virgin Media 125, remote control fans.) Mondays will see the Global Edition of the show, with Tuesdays-Fridays being the previous night's US episode.
Brits sadly won't be to watch full episodes online just yet - but we're told by Comedy Central UK that two or three clips from each show will make it onto their Daily Show website.
But hey - let's concentrate on the good news, shall we? And that's the fact that we're going to be able to see arguably the best TV satire around on our tellybox. Hurrah!
