Adele Set To Splash Out £500K Renovating Her Home Ahead Of Baby's Arrival

Adele's £500K Nursery Plans

It looks like Adele's first child is going to be spoilt rotten - the unborn tot's mum-to-be is already planning to splash out £500K on home improvements ahead of its arrival.

Just days after announcing she was pregnant, the 24-year-old singer has reportedly got the planning permission she needs to build a nursery next to her bedroom.

Adele - who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki - is set to have some major renovation work done at her mansion to accommodate her child.

"She went through the usual tedious months of waiting for the council to grant her permission to change the house. Now it's going to be a real dream home for her and her new family."

A nursery is apparently going to be built, which could take up the entire first floor of the property.

That's a LOT of toys.

Adele and Simon Konecki

Adele officially announced her happy news on her website on Friday, writing: "Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.

"I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."

Meanwhile, the singer's second album, 21, continues to sell 18 months after it was released. It is the biggest selling album of the year so far after shifting another 596,000 copies in 2012.

The album - released in January 2011 - has sold 4.63million copies to date in the UK and is on course to become the biggest seller of all time, beating Michael Jackson's Thriller.
