EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Woody Harrelson Talks About Playing A Tormented LAPD Cop In 'Rampart' (INTERVIEW)

EXCLUSIVE: Woody Harrelson Had To Ramp It Up

Woody Harrelson stars as Officer Dave Brown in acclaimed crime-fiction writer James Ellroy's (L.A. Confidential) action-fulled film Rampart.

In the exclusive video interview - WATCH ABOVE - to mark the film's DVD release, Harrelson reflects on how he got into the role of Officer Brown - a Vietnam vet and a Rampart Precinct cop, asserting his own code of justice and often blurring the lines between right and wrong to maintain his action-hero state of mind.

Rampart, set in Los Angeles in 1999, uses the controversial and now infamous Rampart police scandals of the late '90's, as the basis for the story, co-written and directed by Oren Moverman (The Messenger).

The film also stars Robin Wright, Sigourney Weaver, Ice Cube, Ben Foster, Ned Beatty, Steve Buscemi, Cynthia Nixon and Anne Heche.

Rampart is out on DVD & Blu-ray Monday 9 July
