Kerry Tells Of Body Image Crisis

Kerry Katona has revealed her failed relationship with Mark Croft left her "scarred" and admitted deciding to split with latest love Steve Alce was probably the "biggest mistake of my life."

In a remarkably frank interview with Now magazine, troubled Katona told how she suffers self-hate about her body and why she decided to go under the knife to feel more confident.

Showing off her new post-tummy tuck physique in a photo shoot with the magazine, Katona, 31, said: "I got tired of tucking my extra skin in my knickers."

The mother of four added: "I'm still very conscious of my body. I feel extremely uncomfortable and really unhappy taking my clothes off in front of people."

"I got tired of tucking my extra skin in my knickers," she said

Kerry also opens up about her split from 33-year-old Scott Alce in June, blaming her relationship with Mark Croft from which she is "scarred".

"I've probably made the biggest mistake of my life. But I just want to be on my own," she says.

She announced the break-up on Twitter saying: "Yes me and @stevealce have parted but on very good terms and are still very good friends!! It did not end cos he was boring and I'm a party animal! (can't remember the last party I went) it was down to my heavy work schedul x"

Kerry and Mark separated over two and a half years ago, but only finalised their divorce in March 2012.

The couple have two children together and Kerry has two daughters from Westlife's Brian McFadden.

On Monday morning Kerry, who is moving house for the 47th time due to money troubles, tweeted this heartfelt message, which shows how motherhood is a major priority of hers:
