EastEnders Storyline Sees Lola Give Birth LIVE As Olympic Torch Carried Through Albert Square On Monday 23 July

Live EastEnders To See Lola Give Birth, Billy Carry Olympic Torch

EastEnders' Lola Pearce will reportedly give birth live in the soap's Olympics episodes.

Perry Fenwick, who plays Lola's grandfather Billy Mitchell, is set to run live through Albert Square with the Olympic flame as part of the torch relay in the episodes to air on Monday July 23 at 8pm and 9pm.

Billy Mitchell and his granddaughter Lola have got a lot going on, without the Olympics

But The Daily Mirror reports that the real drama will take place for teen mum Lola Pearce, played by Danielle Harold, when she goes into labour and Billy has to rush to her side.

Part of the episode has already been filmed in advance but will cut to live footage as the real Olympic torch relay arrives in Walford.

It was revealed last year that the relay would head to EastEnders, which shares the postcode of E20 with the Olympic Park, and that Billy would be the man to carry the torch through the fictional London borough of Walford.

But Billy's moment of glory is set to be short-lived as he has to dash off to be there for Lola when she goes into labour.

If Billy has time, he'll join this lot...
