Family holidays are pricey enough with huge price hikes in costs during July and August. Throw in credit and debit card charges abroad and you could be out of pocket by much more than you budgeted for.
It's estimated that using credit and debit cards abroad can add almost £70 in charges to the average family holiday bill, and, according to a survey by Travelex, 80 per cent of us do use them abroad, sometimes without really taking into account the added cost.
