Christopher Nolan has revealed he's chuffed about suggestions he direct the next Bond movie - but has said he doesn't know what the future holds.
Movie fans on Twitter have been calling for the filmmaker - back with the final instalment of his Dark Knight trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises - to get behind the camera on Bond 24.
The British director said of the online campaign: "That's very, very flattering. But I haven't figured out what I'm doing next."
At the movie's London premiere, Nolan said Christian Bale made the perfect Batman.
"He has incredible dedication and focus, just like Bruce Wayne has. You see that in Christian's eyes and that lets him present a really credible portrait of a self-created superhero who just needs self-discipline and incredible focus," he explained.
Nolan said of working on the big-budget blockbuster: "It's an incredible thrill to make something on this scale, it's really fun to watch the technical finish come together over the many months we've worked on it."
The Dark Knight Rises, also starring Sir Michael Caine and Gary Oldman, opens in cinemas Friday.
