Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is said to have overdosed on drugs after discovering texts sent by the late singer before her tragic death.
Blake, who was freed from jail last month after being charged with burglary and possessing an imitation firearm, turned on an old phone he used when he was seeing his pop star ex and found unread messages from her.
The Back to Black singer reportedly asked in the messages if she could be godmother to Blake's son Jack, now 15 months, who was born to another woman after their split.

Blake's mother Georgette told The Sun: "He had messages on his phone from Amy which he only got recently. He didn't have the phone in prison and he picked up messages from her when he was released. She said she wanted to be Jack's godmother. The grief for Amy started again. I fear he may have been trying to take his own life."
Blake was put into an induced coma by medics last week after he apparently overdosed on drink and drugs during a night out with a friend and suffered multiple organ failure.
“The doctors say they don’t know the prognosis. They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection.
“I’m praying he’ll survive, but I’m having to prepare myself that he may never wake up.”
Blake's partner and mother of his 15-month-old son, Sarah Aspin, told the newspaper about her fears that "he may never wake up".
Amy's father Mitch has asked people to pray for Blake in honour of his late daughter.
"Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him. Let's pray for his recovery. Mitch," he Tweeted.
His mum said: "If he pulls through it may be two months before he is discharged. The worrying thing is if he then goes back to his substance misuse. Next time he won't make it, there is no doubt about that."
