Alex Song completed his transfer to Barcelona from Arsenal on Monday for a fee of £15m.

The Cameroon international has signed a five-year contract with the Blaugrana and becomes new manager Tito Vilanova's second signing after Spain left-back Jordi Alba.

Song was keen to stress his desire to win trophies at his press conference unveiling, having played seven trophyless seasons with Arsenal.

"I hope the team will continue to win, this is a winning team," he enthused. "They win everything. I will give my best on training and when I get the chance to play I will do it."

The 24-year-old added he was hopeful former Gunners team-mate Cesc Fàbregas would help him to settle in Catalonia, revealing he slept at the Spanish midfielder's house on Sunday.

Song becomes the fifth high-profile player to leave Arsenal for the four-times European Cup winners under Arsène Wenger after Marc Overmars, Emmanuel Petit, Thierry Henry and Fàbregas.
