Waterloo Road is to air a controversial storyline next week, with one depressed student deciding to end his own life.
Tariq Siddiqui, played by Naveed Choudhry, takes to the water alone at the harbour under the pretence of concentrating on his kayaking trials and prepares to end things by drowning himself.

The teenager has been depressed since losing the use of his legs in a lorry crash which took place at the end of the last series.
