When the classified scores on Saturday tea time are read out, you probably would never have heard "31-0". But if Romania possesses an equivalent, that is exactly what would have been announced after ACS Berceni trounced CS Buftea.
The Romanian cup match saw cash-strapped second division side Buftea field a team consisting mainly of under-19 players as they were thrashed by their third-tier counterparts.
At half-time the score was 12-0, and after yielding an additional 19 goals in the second 45, Reuters say local media have recorded the result as the heaviest defeat in Romanian football.
Stephan Stana, president of the triumphant ACS Berceni, however felt ambivalent.
"I'm ashamed to tell you the score. But it's not our fault that they disregarded the competition," he said.
Maybe English clubs will think twice before fielding weakened teams.
