Manchester City have completed the signing of Scott Sinclair from Swansea City on Thursday for a fee of £6.2m.
The winger has inked a four-year deal with the Premier League champions and will wear the number 11 shirt, making him Roberto Mancini's second summer signing after Jack Rodwell.
Swansea meanwhile could replace the former England Under-21 international with Valencia forward Pablo Hernández.
Sinclair hit 27 goals in Swansea's play-off winning season
Sinclair, who scored 27 times in the Jacks's 2010/11 play-off winning season which secured their promotion to English football's top flight, netted an impressive 36 times from 91 appearances for the club.
Having begun his career at Chelsea, the 23-year-old was loaned out to six sides by the Blues in the space of three years.
Sinclair also scored for Team GB against the United Arab Emirates in their second group match at the London 2012 Olympic Games, playing three times.
Another young homegrown acquisition, Rodwell and Sinclair's arrivals seem to indicate City have altered their transfer policy after last summer's £38m capture of Sergio Agüero.
Versatile across the front three, Sinclair is however set to fill the gap left by the recently departed Adam Johnson.
Johnson joined Sunderland for £10m
Johnson, signed from Middlesbrough in January 2010, has returned to the north-east and Sunderland after a £10m transfer last week.
Invariably used as an impact sub, his attitude was often criticised by Mancini during his two-and-a-half-years at Eastlands, although he is highly thought of within the England camp despite missing out on a squad berth for the European Championship.
Johnson, 25, has been capped 12 times by the Three Lions and has scored twice whereas Sinclair is yet to earn a call-up to the squad.
