Jim Carrey has apparently joined the cast of the Kick-Ass sequel.
The funnyman was rumoured to be in the running for the role of Colonel Stars in the follow-up to the 2010 comedy, Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall, and now director Jeff Wadlow has hinted that the casting is official.
He tweeted: "6 days till we start shooting... and we officially have our Colonel. Alrighty f'n then! @ChloeGMoretz @MintzPlasse @donald_faison #kickass2."
Mark Millar, who penned the original comic book series, also tweeted a hint about who had been cast as Colonel Stars, a founding member of crime-fighting group Justice Forever.
Apparently referring to some of Jim's films, he wrote: "He lives with 200 raccoons and parrots, owns the mask of Loki and named by Spielberg as a genius."
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Nicolas Cage and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are all expected to reprise their original roles for the Kick-Ass sequel.
