X Factor: Contestant Nick Not Happy With Judges' Verdict, Blames 'That F***ing Tulisa'

X FACTOR: Contestant Blames 'That F***ing Tulisa'

X Factor is still ploughing through auditions around the country, and not everyone's having a great time on stage.

In the sixth show of the series, retired porter Nick from Chiswick thought he'd done well with his rendition of Baby Baby by Buddy Holly, but Tulisa was quick to say it "wasn't right for the show". None of the other three disagreed with her, and Nick was off... but he wasn't happy, swearing at the production team, and then directing his ire at one person in particular.

"I knew it was going to happen and that Tulisa was going to do it," he told everyone backstage.

"She spoilt it... she just said no. The truth is they don't know what they are talking about.

"I knew it wouldn’t, I just knew it. It was that f*****g Tulisa!"

Was Tulisa right? Watch and decide...

Another contestant to feel the cold hand of the judges' verdict was Bianca Gascoigne, football legend Paul's step-daughter. Despite her wanting "for years and years" to be a singer, her performance of Mary J Blige's I'm Going Down did not go down well with any of the judges, who voted unanimously to send her home... "I found that really awkward," said Tulisa...

Having a happier time was Tammy from Derby, who had her nan with her for a quick hug on stage, before she belted out Jennifer Hudson's One Night Only. Louis told her she was "a powerhouse - born to sing", while Gary Barlow couldn't work out why we hadn't heard of Tammy before. Mel B, typically controversial, thought it was initially a "bit karaoke" but even she was brought around, to add her vote to the other Yeses...

And 17-year-old Jade, a waitress from Belfast, was another voice that caught and stayed in the judges' ears. Jade moved the audience with the tale of the fractured relationship with her father, who'd been in and out of jail. After she'd sung Sweet Dreams by Beyonce, Louis remarked, "You are so emotional, you've got so much pain inside."

Technician Gary added that Jade hadn't hit all the notes - "you didn't warm up properly this morning, struggled for some of the high notes" - but Jade's naked emotion pushed her over the line. As guest judge Anastacia said afterwards, "There was a sparkle, the minute she started singing."
