The ICC World Twenty20 commences on Tuesday as England strive for glory akin to their 2010 heroics when they defeated Australia in the final.
A comprehensive seven-wicket victory at the Kensington Oval was sealed by captain Paul Collingwood, who eased England home with three overs to spare.
Australia were 8-3 after being put in to bat by Collingwood but recovered to post a decent 147-6, with limited overs specialist David Hussey hitting 59.
But two vintage innings courtesy of Craig Kieswetter (63) and Kevin Pietersen (47) set up the all-rounder Collingwood to commence a victorious year against the Aussies. England would go on to win their first Ashes series in Australia since 1987, the crowning glory of Andrew Strauss' captaincy.
Pietersen though, named Man of the Series in the West Indies, will not be able to repeat his heroics after his recent antics threatened the harmony within the England camp.
