'X Factor' Contestant Jade Richards Auditioning For 'The Voice' UK?

'X Factor' Reject Turns To 'The Voice'

X Factor reject Jade Richards has hinted that she has auditioned for rival singing contest The Voice.

Earlier this week she tweeted:

The Scottish singer first appeared on the X Factor in 2011 with a performance of Adele's Someone Like You, but was axed by Kelly Rowland at the Judges' Houses stage.

She returned to Simon Cowell's ITV show this month at the Glasgow auditions with a new gothic look.

Guest judge Anastacia told her: "I have hairs on my body that are standing up that I didn't know existed."

However, that wasn't enough to see her through to the next round and she was sent home at the boot camp stage last weekend.

Jessie J, Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue are all thought to be returning to The Voice UK for a second series - although BBC chiefs have revealed the format of the show will undergo a shake-up, such as fewer live shows and more focus on the series' spinning chairs.

Jessie J confirmed last month she will return to The Voice for series two, despite rumours that she had been sacked from the BBC singing contest.

The Price Tag singer tweeted: "I WILL be a coach on the 2nd series of The Voice UK! I'm B B B BACK! As I have always said. Unless you hear it from me- Don't always believe what you read! Can't wait! #thevoiceuk #weback *fist to the sky* ;)"

Meanwhile on the X Factor, the 25 acts who - unlike Richards - made it through boot camp will be shown at the Judges' Houses this weekend.

Simon Cowell revealed Gary Barlow will mentor the Overs, Nichole Scherzinger will coach the Boys, Tulisa will look after the Girls and Louis Walsh will be in charge of the Groups.
