Newcastle United have taken the first steps to renaming their stadium as its official title, the Sports Direct Arena, has had its logos removed to make way for St James's Park.
Although any sussed supporter wouldn't have considered calling the Magpies' ground the Sports Direct Arena since its rebranding in November last year, the commercial move irked supporters disenchanted by owner Mike Ashley's ownership of the club.

But the name change has come via the club's infamous sponsorship deal with 'legal loan shark' Wonga, who insisted on the black and whites returning to their roots.
Despite uproar over the deal, Geordies have sought solace in the official title returning to their spiritual home.
