Everton have signed Germany midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger on a short-term deal.
The 30-year-old former Aston Villa and West Ham United man signed before Friday's midday deadline, which enables him to play for the Toffees at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

Hitzlsperger had been training with fourth-placed Everton to improve his fitness and figured for the club's under-21s recently.

Capped 52 times by the Mannschaft and nicknamed 'Der Hammer', Hitzlsperger's spells with Villa and the Hammers are remembered for a number of stunning strikes.
