The 24-year-old singer and her partner Simon Konecki welcomed their child on Friday night, according to The People newspaper, with other papers and magazines echoing the news. A source is quoted as saying the couple are 'ecstatic'.
Her spokesman said of Friday night's reported birth: "We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment."
Publicity shy Adele managed to keep her pregnancy a secret until four months before her due date. In June she wrote on her official blog: "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.
"I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"
Rolling in the Deep singer Adele and charity worker Simon became a couple last summer. Simon has a five-year-old daughter with his ex-wife.
Adele's eagerly awaited theme song for the new Bond film Skyfall was also released on Friday.
