Juventus 1-3 Internazionale: Bianconeri 49 And Out (VIDEO)

Juve's Unbeaten Run Ended By Inter On 49 (VIDEO)

Juventus, like Arsenal before them eight years ago, saw their unbeaten run in league football end on 49 games after Internazionale came from a goal down to earn a brilliant 3-1 win in the Derby d'Italia.

Arturo Vidal gave the Italian champions a 1-0 lead just 18 seconds in, despite Kwadwo Asamoah starting in an offside position before assisting the Chilean. Samir Handanovič then prevented Claudio Marchisio doubling the lead moments later following a magnificent team move by the home side.

Inter however levelled on 59 minutes when Diego Milito was pulled back Marchisio in the penalty area. Milito, who had never scored against Juve for the Nerazurri, smashed his penalty past Gianluigi Buffon.

Andrea Stramaccioni then pulled off a masterstroke with the introduction of Fredy Guarin for the typically underwhelming Antonio Cassano on 69 minutes. Six minutes later, the pacy Guarin had a shot parried by Buffon only for Milito to net the rebound for a 2-1 lead.

Milito savours the winner

Juve threw on Fabio Quagliarella to support the misfiring Nicklas Bendtner, as he and Pirlo both went close but Juve were inevitably caught on the counter-attack. Guarin went on the rampage to free Yuto Nagatomo, whose reverse pass played in Rodrigo Palacio to smuggle the ball underneath Buffon's body for victory.

It was Juve's first loss in the league since 15 May 2011, and they were commendably treated to a standing ovation from their supporters.
