DJ Mark Ronson took to the stage at one of London's highest restaurants on Tuesday night.

Bob Geldof's musical daughter Pixie also performed at the opening of SushiSamba London, the new restaurant on the 38th and 39th floors of the Heron Tower, with her new band, Violet.

But it was Ronson who got the guests, including 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'EastEnders' star Sid Owen, TV chef Gizzi Erskine, former 'X Factor' contstant Diana Vickers and Boy George, on the dancefloor, by playing songs such as his 2003 hit 'Ooh Wee'.

Geldof's offering was much more sombre, as she swayed over the mic dressed in black. Even her cover of Rihanna's 'Only Girl In The World' was decidedly downbeat.

The food and drinks on offer made up for the musical taste which didn't quite reflect the restaurants 'samba' name. Guests were served tuna tataki, salmon seviche, kanpachi tiradito, yellowtail taquitos and kuromitsu glazed pork belly. Along with chicken and steak anticuchos, robata octopus, black cod skewers, a selection of samba rolls and special nigiri, macaroons and mocha, from the SushiSamba menu and sister restaurant Duck & Waffle (on the 40th floor).

Drinks included in-house cocktails Nina fresa, kaifirinha, shiso fine and chu-cumber, along with Laurent Perrier Champagne, wine and sake.
