Tom Cruise has found another mission in the role of Lee Child's weary retired military policeman Jack Reacher.
The clock will be ticking to see how long Mr Cruise spends on the red carpet tonight when he attends the film's premiere in London - the star is known for his stamina at these kinds of events, where he will spend anything up to two hours meeting fans, being photographed and talking to their mothers on mobile phones.
In the meantime, HuffPostUK is pleased to host an exclusive trailer of Cruise in action as Reacher - WATCH HIM IN ACTION ABOVE.
The jury was out on Cruise's selection for the role, particularly as Reacher's legions of fans from his books know him to be scarred, broad and a giant of a man, but the star has the blessing of the books' author Lee Child, and this kind of initial wondering is no novelty to Cruise, who confounded any doubting Anne Rice fans with his all-consuming depiction of vampire Lestat.
And judging by our exclusive trailer, he's having a blast.
The proof of the pudding will be in UK cinemas from 26 December. Here's some blurb on the film, and watch the trailer below...
