It's arrived - the latest 'Man of Steel' trailer is here!
Henry Cavill is suitably beefed up in the latest reboot of the 'Superman' franchise, with Amy Adams taking the role of the subject of Clark Kent's affections, Lois Lane.
Russell Crowe is on board as Jor-El, Superman's biological father from the planet Krypton (Marlon Brando's almost cameo role in the 1978 version, which starred the late Christopher Reeve as Superman).
Here's some official IMDB blurb on next summer's super hero blockbuster...
An alien infant is raised on Earth, and grows up with superhuman abilities. He sets out to use these abilities to guard his adopted world.
... but this doesn't begin to convey the charm of the mostly 1980s series, with Reeve at the helm, swishing through revolving doors as the bespectacled Clark Kent, and emerging with his underpants over his tights in time to catch falling bridges, fly backwards around the planet, and generally save the world when he's not working a news shift.
Cavill and Co have a lot to live up to, but there's an enormous amount of goodwill for this particular superhero, and the visual effects, by the looks of the trailer, have definitely benefited from the decades in between.
The film will be in UK cinemas from 14 June 2013. You can see the previous trailer below...
