Oscars 2013: Adele, 'Skyfall' Singer, To Make Her Comeback At The Academy Awards?

Will Adele Perform At The Oscars?

Adele is rumoured to make her long-awaited comeback at this year's Oscars.

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer has been keeping a low profile since she welcomed her first child last year, but Ace Showbiz has now reported that she might return to the limelight with a performance at the film awards ceremony in February.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced on Friday that the 85th annual Academy Awards ceremony will include a tribute to 007. The secret agent celebrated his 50th anniversary in 2012, marked by the release of 'Skyfall'.

Adele sang the latest Bond song

And as Adele sang the latest 007 song, 'Skyfall', it's thought she might be planning to take part by singing the track at the cermony.

James Bond films have been notoriously disregarded by the Academy Awards. Only 'Goldfinger' and 'Thunderball' have won Oscars, but in the sound and visual effects categories, respectively. The last James Bond film to receive an Oscar nomination was 'For Your Eyes Only' in 1981.

However, 'Skyfall' - the biggest Bond film ever - stands a very good chance of picking up a best picture nod and recently received a Producers Guild Award nomination.

The Oscar nominations will be revealed on Thursday.
