Australian Open Interrupted By Kangaroos At Royal Canberra Golf Club (PICTURES)

Skipping Down The Fairway

First spiders, now this. The first round of the LPGA Tour's Handa Australian Open was interrupted when several kangaroos invaded the course and skipped along the fairway.

The photo below is of Australian golfer Karrie Webb and her caddie marvelling at the surreal sight as they pause for the kangaroos to clear the fairway. Webb would come across some more wildlife later on during her round.

During the qualifying round on Tuesday, Swedish golfer Daniela Holmqvist was bitten by a venomous black widow spider but gouged out the poison with a tee to finish her round.

She did however fail to qualify for the tournament.
