Rangers have sacked striker Francisco Sandaza striker an investigation into a hoax phone call.
The club suspended the Spaniard on 22 March as they investigated comments he made in a conversation with someone masquerading as an agent, which was subsequently broadcast online.
Sandaza revealed details of his salary during the conversation with a man pretending to offer him a move to the MLS. Sandaza said his wages would have risen to £10,000-a-week for the final 12 months.
A Rangers statement read: "Francisco spoke at length to someone posing as an agent and engaged in a conversation which the club believes to be a material breach of his contract of employment.

"The player was suspended but after careful consideration and a hearing with Francisco and his representatives, the club, and our advisors, believe that dismissal is the appropriate course of action.
The former St Johnstone striker scored two goals in 17 appearances for the newly-crowned Third Division champions.
Prankster 'Tommy from Glasgow' has previously posed as businessman Stewart Henderson and managed to get the loathed ex-Rangers owner Craig Whyte to discuss the future of the club before liquidation. Whyte apparently tried to seal a £10million investment and offered 'Tommy' an introduction to administrators.
'Tommy' also enjoyed a chat with one-time Scottish Football Association chief David Taylor, who joked Celtic had few friends in the media, especially in the BBC.
