Mourinho Signs 'Four-Year Deal' As Chelsea Manager

José Mourinho will return to manage Chelsea on a four-year contract, according to reports.

The Portuguese will coach Real Madrid for the final time this Sunday against Real Osasuna before leaving the Spanish capital on 1 June.

And Mourinho's "pet" journalist, the Sun's Rob Beasley, enthusiastically writes he will be unveiled next week.

His first press conference as Chelsea boss in 2004 included his memorable "top manager" and "special one" quotes.

After Madrid's elimination at the Champions League semi-final stage Mourinho effectively confirmed his desire to re-join a club where he is "loved".

However the much-maligned corporation cut his interview short.

Mourinho won five trophies in three seasons at Stamford Bridge

Mourinho won two Premier Leagues, two League Cups and an FA Cup in his three seasons at Stamford Bridge. In his opening 2004-05 campaign Chelsea won their first title in 50 years, bankrolled by Roman Abramovich's millions.

Chelsea amassed a record 95 points before retaining their title in 2006, however Sir Alex Ferguson's resilient Manchester United fought back to regain the league the following campaign and Chelsea have won just one championship since Mourinho left in 2007.
