Fresh from beating world number one Serena Williams on Monday, the German world number 24 required just over an hour to win her last eight clash on Court One.
Lisicki overpowered and outplayed Kanepi 6-3 6-3 to continue her love affair with the Championships.
"I had to make sure I came down quick enough (following the win over Serena) to be ready for today," Lisicki said afterwards.
"With the experience that I have from the last three times I played here in the quarters, I think it helped me a lot.
"It is so nice [to be back in the semi-finals]. I did it two years ago, played very well, and now I felt even more ready for this match and yesterday I had a great challenge on the way to the semis. I think it made me ready for the semis.
"There is no pressure because for me it is still a game that I love so much. I want to keep it that way.
"I am going out there for every single match trying to win and we will see what happens."
