Graeme Swann has suffered no fracture to his bowling arm and is expected to return to the field later in England's warm-up match against Essex at Chelmsford.
Swann was hit on his right forearm by Tymal Mills while batting on the second morning in England's first-innings 413 for nine declared.

England's frontline off-spinner continued his innings but then did not take the field during Essex's reply and was instead sent to hospital for an X-ray.
The ECB later announced, however, that Swann was not seriously injured.
A spokesman said: "(The) X-ray showed no fracture.
"He is continuing to receive treatment for bruising and will return to the field later in the game."
England's Ashes series with Australia begins at Trent Bridge in eight days.
