The Great Gatsby promo trail is in full swing with red-carpet appearances and starry shindigs aplenty for the stars of the movie - and it seems that there's no rest for the wicked during daylight hours either.
Yesterday, Gatsby's leading ladies, Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher, were joined by a fashionable crowd including US Vogue editor Anna Wintour to fete the impending film launch in the grand surroundings of the New York City Library (often a venue for Victoria Beckham's fashion week shows).
Perhaps sartorial fatigue has set in as both Carey and Isla chose to dress down for the occasion - a far cry from their high-impact creations for the plethora of red carpets they've recently appeared on.
Carey sported the no-make-up make-up look that she has favoured of late (and which we can't decide if we're enjoying) with a tight-fitting navy dress complete with leather cummerbund. Isla went one step further and chose a laid-back Chloe trouser suit with an of-the-era jazzy side strip.
Not forgetting Anna - she stuck to what she knows best - a flattering day dress and her favourite nude slingbacks.
Have a listen to why Anna decided to put Carey on the cover of American Vogue in our video below. She's definitely got a fan in Ms Wintour.
