We reckon the Doctor Who star's offscreen love of vintage and the fact that she was chosen for the role of iconic supermodel Jean Shrimpton in the BBC's We'll Take Manhattan earlier this year can't have dented her chances of securing the award which is voted for by the public.
To collect her gong, Karen opted for a collared black and yellow print dress. The rest of the styling was kept simple with her hair loose (really liking the blunt fringe), makeup low key and heels high and black.
We'd also like to give a shout out to MyDaily contributing editor Christopher Kane who bagged Scottish Designer of the Year - well deserved!
