After a few months away from the LA party circuit, Natalie Portman made her return to the limelight on Thursday night and yep, she was looking as effortlessly elegant as ever.

So - what was the reason for Portman's night out? Her husband Benjamin Millepied was hosting the Los Angeles Dance Project Benefit Gala and Natalie was there to show her support, alongside Reese Witherspoon and Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

As for her party dress, the actress stuck to a red gown from her go-to designer, Dior (oh, to be a Hollywood movie star). In a word? Beautiful.
