The Grand Palais with a giant model of the world in the centre of a circular catwalk. Welcome to Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2013 show.
As always, Chanel's staples were key to Karl Lagerfeld's latest collection - check tweed coats, extra-long leather riding boots and pleated wool mini skirts with matching multi-coloured jackets were dominant on the round runway.

However, the shapes were softer - a few of the clutch bags were actually globe-shaped - and heels were either chunky on boots or flat on patent brogues. A sign that Chanel's A/W collection is one of practicality? Possibly, but the pink and blue hats? The ultimate look-at-me accessory.
