IN A NUTSHELL: While the audience sat in darkness, Hussein Chalayan's Autumn/Winter designs emerged against a white backdrop with words and phrases such as "nature morte" flashing up throughout the show. Models moved around eerily and modernist set ears ringing but this only made us admire Chalayan's plentiful collection even more.
BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: Bursts of bright colour and neon were played against softer, berry and blush shades - beautifully simple evening dresses in pillar-box red were then repeated in racing green and navy while leggings with flashes of silver looked all the more wearable paired with oversized blazers and cropped leather jackets.

VERDICT: The show itself was a bit of a spectacle and this was a larger collection than most, but it was hard not to fall in love with each and every piece. Strong silhouettes, a perfect A/W colour palette and a range of dresses, from chic shifts to elegant maxis that made minimalist dressing look effortlessly easy. Yet these are the kind of clothes that will make you feel extra special, because of Chalayan's faultless technique.
