Channing Tatum Bringing 'Magic Mike' To Broadway (VIDEO)

'Magic Mike' Heading To Broadway

'Magic Mike' and a whole new bunch of scantily clad stars are heading to Broadway, Channing Tatum has revealed.

Posting on Twitter, the man behind the male stripper movie confirmed a stage adaptation of the hit film is in the works:

He linked to a Deadline story that reveals the show will be a musical written by Aguirre-Sacasa. New songs will be written for the production and the film's director Steven Soderbergh and Tatum will help produce the musical.

The film was loosely based on Tatum's brief teenage career as a stripper and saw him star as Mike, the top performer at an exotic-dancing club in Tampa, Florida.

The story follows Mike (Tatum) who spots potential in a young newbie (Alex Pettyfer) known as The Kid and shows him the best the world of stripping has to offer at the club owned by Matthew McConaughey's character.
