Usain Bolt has regained his 100m world title at the 2013 IAAF World Championships with a finish time of 9.77 seconds, pounding through the rainy conditions to prove he is still the fastest man alive.

The tempestuous weather meant the opportunity for AFP photographer Olivier Morin to capture this amazing lightning shot as the Jamaican sprinter steamed past the finish line.
